Recently, I was astonished when my wife showed me portion of tomato that she had cut. What was surprising in it was it had its own seeds germinating in-vivo ie, several of its own seeds germinating inside the ripe tomato in various stages. What was more shocking is that, two of the young seedlings had the two leaves in green colour...how was it getting chlorophyl inside the tomato?. Unfortunately, I couldnt take pictures at that very moment, due to some unavoidable circumstances and thought that I would take the pics later and kept the tomato in the refrigator and forgot about it. Two days later I was reminded , but by that time, the tomato's conditon went soft and watery. However, I have taken some record shots.
Later, I did some online research to see whether mine was unique case or not. But curiously enough, I found similar thread on a forum http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/tomato/msg101852437749.html
But the difference in my case is that my tomato was purchased from a market where it is supplied fresh without ANY refrigeration whatsoever and at most it was a day old.
